The civil parish of Drum is located west of Athlone town in the south of county Roscommon, in the heart of Éire/Ireland. The name Drum is an Anglicised version of the original Irish name, An Droim, from Droim Dreastain, meaning Drestan's ridge.
Lying on the west bank of the River Shannon, Drum has a rich cultural and built heritage and a strong sense of community.
This site is hosted by Drum Community Centre.
