During this ceremony, we will be presenting our Golden and Silver Jubilarians with their pins. We will be writing to those whom our records show are due to receive pins, but if you believe you are entitled to a pin this year, please contact a member of our Council. We will be having our Annual Pioneer Mass on Thursday 10th 2009 at 8pm in Clann na nGael Clubhouse, Johnstown. During this ceremony, we will be presenting our Golden and Silver Jubilarians with their pins. Gealladh CóineartaitheTá fáilte ar na páistí sna ranganna Cóineartaithe i scoileanna Ard Chianáin, Corr na Fola agus Cluain Eamhain chun Gealladh na Réadóirí á thógail ag searmanas ar an 26ú Bealtaine i Séipéal Naomh Bríd, An Droim. Children from the Confirmation classes of
Ardkeenan, Clonown & Cornafulla schools were invited to take the
Pioneer Pledge and become members of the association. The ceremony, which was
originally scheduled to be on Saturday evening, 16th May during the 8pm
mass, was held on Tuesday, 26th May in
St.
Brigid's Church, Drum. Members of the local Pioneer Committee were
available at the Church during the special ceremony to enable the
children to register and the Pioneer Pins were blessed during the
ceremony. Young Pioneers promise to abstain from drink until they are at least 18 years of age and to keep off drugs for life. We welcome all those who joined us. |
